Anyone miss the thrill of RWD??
I've basically driven RWD cars my whole with the exception of my previous FWD car, I don't know if I'm ready to go from RWD to AWD anyone miss RWD?? Those who AutoX/Road Race I'd like to hear your opinions. By the way I've never driven a high performance AWD vehicle before.

The transmission in my Camaro blew up on me 2 weeks ago.
It was the 2nd rebuild.

I thought that I missed rwd so I bought an s2k to drive while my evo is in the shop. Now I really miss awd and can't wait to get it back. The evo will have handling characteristics as similar to a rwd car as you can get in an awd and I think that you would be very happy with it. It oversteers better than any other awd available yet still offers all of the advantages of an awd drivetrain.
I missed the RWD launches ...... specially R33 with 750hp ... you know .... you never get it straight .. always sideway comes first =) but its how I love it ....
2nd thing is that .... I used to drift every corner with my RWD cars .. but now .. I can barely hear the screaming coming out from my tires ... ... ... ... ...
I like drift alot - and with AWD ...... well you need a very good skill for it ......

I've been looking into getting the Evo9 looking for more performance, the G35 has some great handling but nowhere as near the Evo9.... plus it's my daily driver and in the winter living in Connecticut is not fun with RWD even with snow tires I couldln't get up some hills especially where I lived it was such a hassle commuting to work too. If I got the Evo instead and put snow tires on them I think I'd have an easier commute only 20 mi a day. I'm looking for something that has superb handling, performance, can work in the winter, lots of AutoX and occasional Track time. I looked at the STi but I'm leaning more towards the Evo.

If your looking for more sport, precise go kart like steering, and a little frenetic attitude thrown in then you are looking to buy the Evo. It really is the closest thing to a race car for the street. Even the new Corvette is almost a boulevard cruiser in comparison as far as steering feel, ride quality, and the seat of the pants effect. I didn't say it was faster but it gives you that impression even though you know it isn't.
