Is there reallly that much of a significant difference between the MR and IX w/SSL i mean yeah it is an MR and a little less wait and cooler suspension. I am just trying to figure what to do. I have the option to buy either one tomorrow!

If so how much did you pay?
4g63... Brookdale Mitsu has a silver IX MR for a sticker of $36,488. tax @ 6.5%=$2372 , plates for $300, you're looking at about $39200 OTD.
Just figured i'd give you some comparison for dealers in the area. They also have 2 non-SSL IX's, GG and Blue. Not sure what the price was on those as they were still in back getting prepped.

Not sure if I would buy from Brookdale though. There were two techs outside that said they had the thing doing double digits three different times by the time they hit a stoplight about 1/4 away. Funny thing was the Sales Guy was very prompt in letting me know no one can test drive the new IX's. But, i guess its ok for their employees to take them out and beat the hell outta them... Just some info i guess.

dzuest,
hey there...thanks for the info but man if the techs are beating on it then that's wrong but hey it's their dealership and their rules...i wish the regular IX without ssl comes with HID...because that would be a lot nicer...they should all come standard with HID...Well the dealership just called me and say that the closest white mr they found is in Milwaukee...and they are not sure that the dealership there will be willing to trade it for one of their GG mr so i guess if i don't get a white one...I'll get a tarmac black IX without ssl and convert to HID headlights...Just wondering...are there any HID conversions for the IX yet?

4G... That's exactly what i'm going for, Black non-SSL. Also want the HID's as well, i told myself my next car will absolutely have those. There are some threads on here that i read where it looks like it will be pretty easy to do. One of them was from that guy who got the First EVO IX in the US from Huntington Beach Mitsu. Basically its just replacing the bulbs and finding a place to mount the ballist. He said it wasn't that hard, and he had pics post-install, and it looked awesome. Sorry I don't have the exact thread but the guys name on here is "Late Apex".

(i did a search on some of my Subscirbed threads while writting this one and found a good thread on the HID topic. Here ya go.)

Good luck on getting yours. I have to wait until late Summer of next year. Need to save a little more and get my Nissan paid down a little for trade in.
The only good thing Pricing will be down, and i might have a hook-up for the friends and family from a guy at Metro Mitsu. Hopefully he'll still be there when I go to buy.

Cheers and good luck!

Dealerships are using the "availability" markup on IX's especially MR's.

I am hoping that people start trading in there 8 MR's for the 9's so I can hop in one of the 8's.
