Ok, I went out on my way to work today like always, and everytime i floored it a big THUMP came, and i would lose all power. I looked down and saw the check engine light was on. It drives normal, just when i push the pedal down all the way it will make a big clunk noise, and lose all power. Any ideas?Thanks

 

First, have the CEL checked out. If you don't have a scantool, take it to Autozone. They'll pull your codes for free.

Meanwhile, where was the thump from (i.e., more details)...

 

Secondly.. if that happens... don't keep doing flooring it! and get to autozone.. if you're not modded.. just take it to a competent dealer..

 

i didnt keep on doing it lol, the code is P0234, overboost condition. Why would this happen if im running stock boost?

 

check your intercooler pipes and clamps

 

By chance, do you have an aftermarket intake or boost controller installed?

 

I think the top intercooler clamps came off from hard acc.
