Where do I go from here (setup wise)?

Hey, I'm pretty much a newb when it comes to modding cars. I bought my car 7000 miles used so it already has an aem intake and a turbo xs blow off valve. I'm in the process of buying an HKS anniversary exhaust with a helix downpipe. I was wondering if i should change the aem intake and xs blowoff valve to the hks intake and ssq. Where do i go from here? There's just so many parts for the evo that its mind boggling. Should i replace the intake and blowoff valve and what additional parts do i need to mod? (It's a daily driver so i'm just looking to get around 300 whp).

first, get rid of the bov and get one that is recirculated back into the intake. Next, dont bother getting an intake, get a k&n drop in filter. After that, manual boost
controller and test pipe, then get a flash.

The first thing you should do is get acquainted with the SEARCH function. Please do that before any future questions such as this.

I have 2 suggestions depending on your tastes:

The Bling and Sound Path (more money, more sound, more bling, less power per dollar):
1) Get the HKS RS or Injen Intake
1.5) Upper IC pipes (if you don't get the Injen)
2) Switch out the BOV with an HKS SSQV in VTA mode
3) EBC
4) Get the HKS or Greddy TI cat-back (30th anniversary is ok and still fits the bill), then any combination of HKS or Greddy downpipes and test pipes (or hi-flow cat)
5) Custom flash (dyno or street tune, if possible)

The Function over Form Path (less money, less sounds, less bling, more power per dollar):
1) Sell the AEM intake and get a Works or K&N drop-in
2) Sell the BOV and get a JDM MR DV for $110 shipped
3) Hallman MBC + boost gauge
4) Get the Megan or LPI 3" TURBOBACK exhausts for $550-600 (entire exhaust)
5) Custom flash (dyno or street tune, if possible)

Both of these routes will get you ~300whp on pump gas. The first one will cost a lot more, but the 2nd one will look like you're stock except for the exhaust tip. I prefer and support the 2nd method (my MR looks stock inside and out but runs 12.0), but the 1st method is certainly viable if you don't mind spending the money.
