After you unscrew it, just unplug the wire harness. That's the only thing. Take it off, plug in the VII lights, and screw it back on. Easy. My friend just took a picture of it, but I probably won't get it until later on tonight. I'll post it as soon as I can. I bought the lights for about 230.

i know this might sound ghetto, but why dont you guys just buy red tail light tint spray and spray your evo 8 tail lights to look like the evo 7 tail lights. looks just as good in my opinion. costs about $20 for a bottle. a little DIY project.

I don't think anyone wants to spray paint on their brand new evo.

first of all it isnt spray paint, its a tint spray. you take off your tail light and apply the tint spray to the tail light (away from the brand new evo). the results will look just as good. in any case its worth a try, if you dont like the results . . . then remove it. simple as that.

I just recently took some pictures of my car. Here is a link to a bunch of them... and some with the VII tail lights, if anyone is interested to see what it looks like on a silver Evo.

Woot! 100% better with the red tails and I'll be getting the silver Evo too.

That was great dilow. Btw.. how much did you get those tails for. Just wondering. You can PM me the info if you want. Thanks.

Thanks 771852. My friend helped me take those pics. I only wish we did it a little earlier in the day and had more light.
Yeah, I think it looks better with the VII lights as well. Not a fan of the clear tail lights.

because, as you mentioned yourself, it is GHETTO. We like to do things correctly. That means buying the Evo VII tail light assemblies.

It's really not that ghetto if you take the time and do it right, I've painted some things on my Bimmer and they came out great!
