front driver seat

does anyone have any idea how to drop the driver seat?

i have seen somewhere (i think it was like an old option 2 mag) that you can drop the seat with different rails. anyone know where i can get them or even know who makes them? these are for the stock seats...

You may also want to try Bride rails. I used them in conjunction with Sparco seats on another car and they seemed to bring down the sitting position about an inch compared to Sparco's rails. The bolt pattern should work, although that's just a guess.

I just checked the HKS Kansai site cuz I'm looking for the same thing (I'm 6'3")... rails are 20,790 yen, including their VAT. So that translates into $182.35 each at current exchange rates. The shipping charge is gonna be murder though.

Here are some other sources for lower seat bracket / slider combinations:

http://www.rakuten.co.jp/naniwaya/732408/732784/733954/
http://www.tees-usa.com/seatrail_mi.html

As long as the bolt pattern on the stock Recaros are the same as Sparco / Bride recliners, you should be set. I saw Bride rails going for $165 online.

I'm also considering getting a fixed position bracket fabricated. Dunno where you are, but "Super Mario" at GSR Fabrication in Southern Cali does beautiful custom fab work.
