An RX-7 buddy of mine just read someone's comment about it looking like the boys at the Mitsu factory were watching 2F2F. He said he thought Mitsu was a BIG sponsor of the movie and had a lot to do with the way cars looked in the first place. True?

 

True Mitsubishi provided several Evo VII's as well as the Eclipses for the movie. Remember that for every main car you see in the movie there has to be several copies. Also Mitsubishi went out of their way to outbid Subaru for Paul walker's ride which was originally going to be a STI.
