question for the evo IX owners

ive read that the evo IX over seas has the back bumper lowered compared to the 8 for the purpose of not triggering the super ayc unnecessarily, i was wondering if the evo IXs over here also have the back bumper lowered even though the rear bumper is different and there is no super ayc?

rear springs are lower on IX vs. VIII by about a 1/4 inch.

US EVO's do not have super AYC. This is due to emission equipment that is in the location of the AYC pump and hardware. However, US EVO's do feature ACD.

The reason for the US bumper not being the same as the one over seas is due to federal requirements for crash test. I believe it is related to the 5 mile a hour bumper test. The over seas bumpers do not meet the standards nor can they fit the required crash bar.

Hope this helps!
