got a new transfer case

a little story of my experience today.....on the way to mitsu mystock bov popped off where it connects to the intake tube...so when the service guy was putting it on the lift i mentioned it to him and asked if he could put it back on and he said aright...so after 5 hours of work they finally finish and i hear my car start up...then i hear it heading toward the road right away (no warm up)....then i hear my car just take off redlining every gear. what great service...the guy gives me back my car and i pop the hood where i find that my bov is still disconnected and my clutch is stinking like hell...mitsubishi truely the best backed cars in the world

so the car is running perfect but i just started noticing a little ticking noise while accelerating...it seems to go away after a while....any ideas

also is there a break in period for a transfer case?

probably isnt your TC, but give it some time. My output shaft was warped and started leaking so i took it in a 28k and it was replaced gratis. as far as the ticking...
read 4g63 ticking.
It's mitsu's slogan. "Oh the ticking, thats normal"

WOW, I would be so pissed. Redlining every gear, Id prob ask to talk to the manager and just get the guy fired for beating on my car.

I got a new t-case (well, 3 to be exact - the final one from Jon @ TRE), and broke it in for about 500 miles, and flushed the fluid after the break-in period with the Diaqueen GL-5. Don't know if that helps you at all. Its been perfect ever since
