I take it that means there is no point in me goin around to some dealers to see if anybody has one i can hug!?

Not to be a total jerk, but.....have you read anything that has been posted about the EVO VII's????? The people had to send them back because they just now filed some of the right papers (but don't expect an answer for several months), and you are expecting to possibly get yours soon????????

Must be some good **** up there where you live????

Just got back from Manfredi Mitsubishi on Staten Island, and saw the two Evo VIIIs they got in today. Beautiful black and yellow both with no sunroof. Didn't get one though because they are marking them up $3500, but I didn't ask for my deposit back because I'm still debating on what I can afford or not. I will most likely end up passing, I was suposed to get blue by you with sunroof but the black is mean as hell.. Got to check m insurance quote tomorrow, and that will be the key to whether or not I'm going to get to join the elite few and have myself an EVO VIII!!!! I've got to hurry though because he is planned on installing MAD dealer installed options to the Evo's he's got, and I like it the way it is.

Where I live, they have like NO evo's. I bought my car one month before they brought the evo's in...and the only way to get one around here was to pay to get into an auction for the car - there's no way I was going to do that.......hopefully one day though!

I just TEST drove one in a NYC dealer...I cant reveal the name of it cause i got hooked up. Still debating with price....but let me tell u something. This is one hell of a car. Pulls real hard.......i redlined up to 3rd gear and turned onto a block goin 40-50mph. Th car gripped the road and I felt the G's pullin on my body. I was lucky enuf to take it on to the BQE. It will make a good family car too since its pretty roomie overall. Im expecting mine soon..........hopefully i can get it MSRP....but I kno they are markin it up. I test drove the g35coupe.....and no way does it compare to the performance on the EVO. My wait is almost over.

BTW the EVO i drove only have 4 miles on it and the salesman told me to drive it as hard as you want. I punched it every opportunity i got. BOY was I . Beleive me, those Recaros are necessities!

I luv the EVO. Finally a worthy car from Mitsu.

I hope every gets theirs as my dreams will become a reality.

One more thing I might add .... the sales person told me during the test drive that I will be liable for the fine if I get a speeding ticket. What a cool guy! I dont wannna put them on the boycott list cause i KNo they are markinit up 5k +. Since, they hook me up wit a test drive and hopefully MSRP..... I will leave the dealership anonymous. Well I think there should be enuf hints in my post to figure out the dealership. But if I cant get MSRP or a reasonable premium...I'll jsut wait.

So you were in the Bronx or Queens? Did the salesman mention if this car was for sale? It would be fairly crappy if they let you drive one someone paid for...

Nope...both for sale. BTW BQE doesnt expand to the bronx. BQE = Brooklyn Queens Expressway.

Yea...I'm an idiot.

Maybe since he didn't specifically say which dealer, he might have come across the river or something. I guess there are closer highways though.

I just spoke with Lasorsa in the Bronx and he still wasn't sure if they would get there on Friday. Seems fairly ridiclious considering they have them in Queens...

That salesperson is an idiot if he said "Go as hard as you want" that's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. If I get my car and it's been test-driven I want a new one, I don't want some fruitcake redlining it with less than 10 miles on it.

Fruitcake.....???
Dont be envious cause I got a test drive. You will never know if your car has been test driven. As a consumer, I have the right to a test drive and evaluate the car.

however you do not have the right to test drive a vehicle that is already sold to a customer... you are correct it is impossible to know if a vehicle is being used for test drives, but u can guess by looking at the odometer... if a dealer is using a sold car for test drives they deserve to be shot
