A lot of sputtering in my car...

I was driving my car on the highway and in a 4th gear pull, my car started "popping" and wouldn't get any faster. Well, just today while leaving from a stop the car just "popped" and all of a sudden I lost power. I couldn't rev it past 2000rpms and it felt like it was sluggish. It started idling funny too (264/264 cams but very very lopey now). Did I blow a headgasket? The car was pretty cold and I wasn't going full throttle... it just got slow like I lost all compression.

I can still start the car fine... but I can't get the car to move faster. It's like I can't get more than 25% throttle pressure. Is the turbo dead? Is it something else? Anyone have any ideas?

Here's my mods

stock turbo
stock injectors
HKS 264/264 cams
MBC @ 20psi
Apexi SAFC II - zero'd out
3" Turbo back
HKS SSQV BOV

Same thing happened to me when my throttle body intercooler hose popped off. It could also be the intercooler hoses themself. I thought the same thing has you when happened. Just replace the clamp with a T-bolt clamp and you should be good if that is it.

Well, I looked at all of my connections and they all seem okay. I tried driving it again and this time it bucks really badly if I should even try to get on it. I can't get faster than 25mph and even then it starts hiccuping and bucking as if it's hitting fuel cut.

Does anyone have any other idea than an intercooler hose?

no smoke? maybe you just need to do some routine maintenance or see if removing the safc2 helps? check your plugs?

Recheck all your intercooler hoses again. The lower ones as well.

Check plugs. Compression test.
