evo 9 going to be worth more than 8?

just wondering if you guys think the evo9s will hold their value more than the 8s not regarding that they are obviously newer as of right now...also i had talked to a older guy with a sti and he was telling me that next year they are jumping out with the evo10 suppesdly? me personally didnt believe it for the fact that why would they do evo8s for like 3 years then evo9 for one?

First............only time can predict the future value of a car! Not a single person can give you a correct answer, only an opinion on car holding the value. With Mitsubishi sales being as crappy as they are, you never know.

i really dont know why it would be worth more...thats why i asked...im thinking if i should spend extra money and get a new one or just get a used 2003 for the fact that they are cheaper and i plan on modding so warranty isnt huge to me...also the reason i asked was because i heard someone on this forum say that they thought the evo9 would hold its value like the supras did...which was pretty good.

Yeah, the IX will hold its value like Supras. Go ahead and buy it.

Nevermind the fact that the X is coming out next...

I must say from recent experience that both the EVO 8 and the STI were holing the value very well. Yesterday me and my girlfriend purchased a Evo 9 GG and after searching the internet for nearly two weeks we came to the conclusion that the used EVO8 and STI market are very high and in demand. Used EVO8 were selling very high.

Despite the EVO9 being in the market, the dealers were still asking similar prices for the last units of EVO8 05.

Time will tell, I think the EvoX wouldn't be in the market for at least another 2 years minimum and I believe the 05 Evo 8 and the EVO9 06 will hold the value very, very well.

my .2c
