IX's aren't officially in production???
I just ran outside and touched my new IX MR, and yes, its not a figment of my imagination. My neighbor who was gawking at it earlier today agrees also.
I would tell whoever told you that at the dealership that he is never allowed to talk to you again, ever.

I do not trust any sales personel, I have worked as a tech in dealers for 13 years and in general sales personel rotate from dealer to dealer so much that they dont know crap and develop a talent for spewing any bs they can think of to make them selves look like stars.
remember if it smells like s*#t and looks like S%@t, it is not a rose no matter what they tell ya

you should answer his question with this question:
how would racing the car unclip the Recaros?
Sit back and enjoy their "stream of logical thought"....bring popcorn, it should be good.
also...you should just tell them they're probably right about the 9's. Everyone is just really driving an 8 with bumper conversions. haha

Hey all,
Just another tidbit to backup the idea that people at dealerships may not know wtf they are talking about.
In high school, I had an 89 Ford Probe GT. My friend wanted to get a 1990, so I was going from dealer to dealer with him to test drive and whatnot. He found a good price on one out in the boonies. I don't even remember what town it was. We get there, and the salesguy was telling us it was a V6 turbo now. We tried to explain that it was the same engine as my car. He said that they had the new version and they had done high perf driving classes in it etc.
In the end, we had to pop the hood and point out that there were only 4 spark plugs. Anyway, don't believe everything you hear, heh.
As for the clips on the seat, just remember the Moss-Magnuson act...
Take care,
