Why do you have 2 threads asking the same question:

Have you guys been paying attention to the other threads talking about the EVO IX? Seriously the IX has been making amazing power with the most minimal of mods. Cams (which I do not believe are even available yet for the IX, the VIIIs will not work on the IX), Head Studs, Intake? What are some of you guys talking about? To make over 300WHP all he needs is a Flash and MBC. A Turboback Exhaust should put him over 330WHP. Not many IXs have been tested, but the few that have been tested are making amazing power with very basic mods. I'm surprised that more and more EVO IX owners aren't jumping at the chance to mod their IXs because they are making huge numbers. I'm also surprised that more tuners such as Dyno Flash, Turbo Trix, AMS, Buschur, and Vishnu have not yet jumped onto the IX band wagon and started flashing IX models.

Thanks, put the intake and MBC this weekend, feels nice................turbo back exhaust might take me a little time to come up w/ the $$$, but eventually........getting a nice blow off valve next week too.

Please, do not get a blow off valve. Search and you will find out why.

You'd probably have enough money for a TBE if you'd stop spending it on much less useful mods (e.g. intake/bov/radiator hoses???).

The intake is probably hurting your power more than it's helping it without a tune. What kind of boost are you running? You need to be careful adding an mbc and increasing boost also with tuning. Keep the stock bov and get the tbe and a piggyback or reflash.

You probably think im just going avbout this alone dude, but my boss has an o4, my friend has an 05MR, and a mutual friend has an 05 MR with about 20,000 into it laying down some sick HP, so ..........the bov vallve and the MBC im buying from my boss, radiator hoses I know will not add HP, . You can't possibly tell me an intake is a waste of money.

Ok, have fun then. When you reach the $1000 mark on money spent, let me know if you're hitting low 12s yet...

there are tons of threads as to why an intake is pointless unless youre swapping turbos. do yourself a favor and spend the money on something that is going to help the car. as much as warr might sound like a jerk sometimes hes right.

I agree also. Putting an Intake and a BOV w/o a tune will make you loose hp instead of gaining it. Dont waste your money in things you DONT need and invest it in a TBE

Has anyone mentioned driving school yet? Your mods won't do **** if you can't drive your car.
