They never charge above msrp for any car the dealership sells.. includes all their bmws etc. 500 over invoice was the price and that was straight from the manager of the dealership. He said it would be stealing to take more money then that from me, because they are just filling out the paperwork.. getting the car and then its shipped to the dealership and driven off.. downside is that you have to wait a couple weeks. Like i said though some dealers are intrested in moving volume.. this dealership sold 10 MRs+ last year but only had 1 ever on the lot.. hmmm, how many MRs did the dealership sell trying to go 5K over sticker in comparison?
Ok, well I've never heard of or seen such a dealership, so enjoy it while you can. That's not normal for other dealerships. Your "5k over sticker" reference is quite an extreme. I was only talking about MSRP, which is what they sell for here at all 5 dealerships. The particular one where I got mine is the leading Evo seller in the nation, fwiw, and they sell right at MSRP when the new models first come out.

When you buy the first MR off the truck in a city of 3 million, it's kind of hard to negotiate price, especially when there's 10 others waiting in line with $500 already deposited. It's basic supply and demand...

[QUOTE=EVIL_EV0]FYI - After reading this I buzzed into the local Mitsu dealer and spoke with a sales guy.

They are still selling EVO both 05s and 06s at invoice. The sales guy told me mitsu is just trying to keep their head above water. If I were to go with an 05 I could still get 0% but if I went with the 06 I could have $1500 cash back plus $500 loyalty cash OR $2000 in gas and $500 loyalty cash. In Wisconsin there is next to no demand for this vehicle. Its basically an adult toy so the EVOs sit on the lot for awhile.

same here. my local dealer has been calling me off the hook ever since i showed interest in buying a ix at invoice ($29,500), was told they can also get any color. holding out till mitsu has a financing incentive.

That's about $200 less per month than most people, although you should just do 60 months and get a better rate from a bank or credit union.

So, what's the invoice price? 29.5k-30k?
if you havent heard about someone getting them well below msrp you have now i bought 2 evos tarmac black evo 9 and waiting on my wicked white mr evo9 and you wont even guess how much 23k and 23k 46 grand out the door

Thats a great deal it took me two weeks to find a dealer that would give a 9 no ssl for 500 over invoice so go for it.

In bigger cities I can see the $500 over invoice thing.....but 500 bones is alot of cash to me so I would rather wait a bit longer to get my 9 especially since I already have an 8.

The stealership is still making arseloads of cash even at invoice. The evo is a nice car and the MR is a nice package but it certainly isn't worth MSRP.....its still a mitsubishi you know.

Now with the 10 on the horizon there is no way in hell I would pay over invoice for the 9. I'm already worried about depreciation of my 8 I certainly wouldnt want to get bent over and screwed dry by buying a 9 at those prices. Even at invoice you are probably out 3k as soon as you sign on the dotted line.

Pray tell, how did you manage that negotiating feat; or is there something you're not divulging?

An '06 IX MR has an MSRP of around $37k; why would they sell one to you for $23k.......and don't say it's because you purchased two at once.

Also, FYI; OTD means what it states........the out-the-door price including State tax, tags etc. A IX MR in NY, for example, is almost exactly $40k OTD.

In a word: Yes! If you want an EVO, I don't see what there is to think about. This is a very good deal.
