Something very bad just happened...HELP

I drive a 2005 Evo with right at 3500mi on it. Iwas just leaving school, going about 5 mph and got on the car a little leaving the parking lot. The car bogged down as I heard a loud WHOOSH sound, almost sounded like somebodys blow off valve or something. The car now idles fine but will only go about 20mph and 1400rpm at which point it just starts skipping and jerking, staying at that speed. I was close to my house so i just limped home. I installed a Forge MBC last week, but other than that I am stock. Any ideas?

Cat in your air intake!

That's weird man, take it to the dealer i'd say, but if you can only go 20 that might not be an option.

well take a look first, things might be quite obvious once you pop the hood.

It sounds like you hit boost cut and it stuck.....Check your lines, one might have came off.....Was your car cold.......The Evo's have a saftey feature that if they are cold, they will boost cut very early.......Don't waste your time with the dealer, they will tell you BS and charge you because you moded your car and something happened.....Keep us informed.
