According to Edmunds...
06 IX MR MSRP = $35189 Invoice = $33,165
Edmunds Link
I paid $33,000 for my 05 MR and was told invoice was $33,500. MSRP was $35,594 including the $500 destination charge.

car selling businese is hell for MY06 ,
they have to sell at invoice anyway ,
they'd better start early rather than regret
there are whole bunch of AWD 270+HP car this yr than back in 03
Evo IX demand is not as hi as the dealer thought

National Base Price (excludes destination charge) could be the reason for the price difference.
anyone actually went in to buy yet ?
looks like quite alot of ppl interested here
Side Note Oct Sales number :
General Motors watched its sales fall by 23 percent as well. Each GM division fell in sales, as did the company for the third month in a row.
Meanwhile, at Chrysler, sales dropped 3.1 percent, while sister division Mercedes-Benz saw flat sales for the month. At Nissan, a 13.3-percent dip in sales was amplified by a 7.3-percent drop at Infiniti.

No I bought it in March 2005. There were no rebates then. They matched another dealer (It is a good idea to visit multiple dealers and have them actually work to get your business.) at $33,500 from the cities and had sent me a coupon for $500 off their lowest price in the mail prior to that. The salesman was a little shocked when I pulled that out as he said they never ever sell for under invoice. I wouldn't think destination charge should ever be more than $500 as I'm in the midwest and probably one of the furthest places to get a car to other than Alaska or Hawaii. Even with the $500 desitination, an 09 MR should invoice for about 33,665 in the continental US I would think. Not saying your prices are bad or anything. It is definitely a decent deal especially since they were just released. Just that invoice seems to be a little less than what you posted based research and past experience.
