for those good at wiring and electrical, new hot wire for gauges.

Just wondering where to grab a hot connection for new gauges, etc. I dont want to keep tapping off of the cigarette lighter, etc...to get some power to my gauges and my LC-1 wideband. I am not very good at all with vehicle electrical systems. Is there a way to add a new HOT wire off the fuse box somehow by putting in a new fuse? Or a way to run all my gauges off one hot wire so that when the ignition is off the gauges will go off. I think that tapping into other lines may draw too much off of a devices needed power and mess things up. Id rather not go right off the battery and have an inline switch, sometimes i may forget to flip it. thanks in advance!

Just did mine, here's how I wired them:

+ from my gauges went to the green/white of the dimmer switch
- from my gauges went to the black/yellow of the dimmer switch

everything dims with together

There is a product you can buy at PepBoys/Autozone. It's made by Littlelfuse (I think) and is called "add-a-circuit" I think..hahahaha It plugs into your fuse box, retains the fuse in the current location and adds a new circuit with the fuse rating of your choice. I have used them before and the work well, no need to hack. They are only a few bucks too.
