lol...yea there were tons of numbers in there. basically, the dealer deceived me and wants me to pay them $4000 for NOTHING. But they allegedly have a promisary note saying that I would.

5800 cash down or equity from your trade?

What was your trade allowance and what was your payoff?

yes you have alot of numbers that are missing.

You need to know these real numbers not allowances

1.Sale price of Car
2.Trade in Value
3.Trade in Payoff
4.Down Payment

Thats pretty much it. There are a ton of ways to adjust the numbers but you need the real numbers. I would get a lawyer if you dont understand this or get a friend that can help you.

1. $24500 w/o tt l ($27400 w/ tt l)
2. $16500
3. $10800ish (what was owed on old car, which the dealer paid off)
4. $5800 (remainder of the $16500)

ok so going by those you would have financed $18,700.00 plus Tax and Title. If you were supposed to put down another 4000 it would have been 14,700 and the payment would be in the $290s per month. Alot doesnt add up. They are bending you over thats for sure.

I just called Nissan Co and my current loan amount is $21500ish. I have only made one payment of $397.42 to date. so they are still bending me over backwards

I think I can help. I just traded in my car and here are the #'s.
Trade-in = Evo 8 '03 with 45k miles. I was still making payments. I called my bank (chase) to find out payoff amount. Payoff amount was around $17.5k.
The dealer offered me 18k for the car.

These are approximate. I kept taxes and registration fees out for simplicity's sake.
New car= $35.8k
trade-in= $18k (trade-in helps since you only pay taxes on the remaining balance)
remaining balance=$17.8k
paid-off amount on my old car=17.5k
total amount I had to pay=35.3k
I believe you didn't find out what your payoff amount was and that's the variable that's missing.
hope this helps.
