I am getting tired of using that crappy metal stick every time I work on my Evo. I am wondering if I can add hydrualic lifts to my hood? I saw a bunch of different kinds at Autozone.

Anyone ever done this before?

 

I am sure you can, but the question would be WHY? I open and close my hood so many times, I should have gotten an extended warranty on the hood hinges! But I never once said: "there has to be an easier way to hold the hood up!" I dont think it would hurt anything. Good luck!

 

you could get a good carbon fiber hood also, might save ya a few pounds of lifting haha

Not up on the Tein site yet...but heard its coming....i wish it wasnt green though

 

they have been selling it for a year now... for the evo.

 

i only saw ones for sti's not evo.. does it really matter i suppose i'd have to make slight modifications if i used the subie one..

 

They have it for regular Lancers, I don't know if will fit on Evo .

 

I just emailed them... I've been looking for something like this for a week or so.. I hope they have em..

I would be very interested in some too because when i use the metal rod, my cf hood kinda bends a little.
