Didn't mean to, but stopped by local dealer and they had a few Evos on the lot. They had substantial mark ups from MSRP. I jokingly said I'd buy one if they took off $1K off MSRP and they agreed!

So now I'm driving a WW MR! Can't believe it but I've been wanting an Evo since they came out. Just sharing.

Congratulations on buying your EVO. I walked into a dealership and they only had a 2005 VIII, which I bought with a $2000 rebate, ended up to be $32,214 (in NH). I added a car cover to keep the rain (comes in through the hood vent) off the engine.

Our cars are awesome and they respond very well to simple mods. I have an otherwise stock MR with only XEDE and it puts down 249+ WHP on a Dynodynamics dyno...

I bough my MR that way also, the diffrence is that I just went to see the EVO8(I got to the dealer in a WRX). They had a MR on the showroom, I went for sa test drive and I decided to trade in my WRX.

Similar to my evo purchase... When I bought my evo they had a "market adjustment" on it. I told them that was silly. I made an offer under MSRP and they took it. I offered them 500$ over invoice and explained to them the faster they could get the deal done, the less time they had to waste making 500$.
