Question 2004 STi Cobb Stage 2+

I have a buddy that has a 2004 STi Cobb AP Stage 2+ (350 hp/385 tq at crack) <-- off cobb's website, also he has headers and a huge tmic. We are going to run them at the track and he says he should beat me.

I have Buschur Stage 4 without injectors/fmic yet (will in about a week) w/ Dynoflash for current mods.

What do you guys think? I didn't want to say anything because I wasn't sure how the STi performs with that ecu work from cobb. Sounds really mean! Anyone have any experience?

Yes but I would imagine that is on the high end.

I am hoping my car puts out 350 hp/335 tq whp; 380 hp /350 tq crank, so with those estimates I would think it would be a good race...hoping I would win!

Just seeing if anyone has had experience with an STi with the Cobb Stg2 or not.

if those are the numbers for a Cobb stage 2 he prob wont be above 300whp, you should beat him.

Yea, I'm pretty sure he would just be at or below 300whp with those mods. Since it seems like it will just be a FMIC, headers, TBE, and basically a flash.

My 05 sti was cobb stage2, no headers, factory topmount. Unless he is running street tuner on the ap, I'd be curious to see how much the headers help. My 05 was quick, but I would put this one on the driver ability. Obviously you are racing on a track, so I dont know how top ends would compare, but above 125, even with the ap2, I started to run out of steam. Let us know what happens.

Driver wise we are pretty much the same with him having a slight upper hand in launching the car, but me with the quicker shifts (B&M short throw )

Overall I think I should beat him but we will see, I am hoping to get into the 12's! Wish me luck!

My other buddy has an STi with the same setup but without the headers/tmic like he has and his car ran a 12.9 @ 107, I think. But he is an excellent driver!

We will see....

A COBB stg. 2 Sti can do 12.7 +/-.2. A kid around here has a Stg. 2 STi and I believe he did 12.7 in the 1/4.

Edited for 4TUN8, cuz he's cool

I would change that to CAN go 12.7. People like Warrtalon are banging on the door to 11s, and then people like me who have 25-35hp more run mid 12s.
