Brakes?

Okay, I've read many threads about brakes and all have been a fairly informative, but here is my question anyway.

05' EVO brakes are shot front/rear need new rotors/pads. Is there any rotor/pad combo that is slightly better than stock for the same price or similiar price? The car will see the dragstrip 5 times a year, 2-3 autocrosses, the rest will be 10K a year in street driving.

Girodisc, Stoptech, stock rotor, BBK?

EBC, Hawk, Carbotech, Autozone, stock etc?

I know power I don't know brakes/suspension thanks for the input.

New rotors so soon? Or just up-grading?

I bought the car used....my guess is he tracked it or just dogged the crap out of it. You can feel the grooves with your fingernail easily and there is no doubt in my mind that the fronts are gone. The rear might be salvageable......the car has 11K on it, but for 23.7 I couldn't pass it up.

See if you can get your rotors trimed to even them out. The mechanic can tell you if you need new ones. Probably buy stock brembo brakes and just upgrade your rotors.

agreed, hawks seem to last alot longer too, changed stock ones after 15,xxx miles, have had hawks for 5k miles and can barely notice any wear at all.

Hawks are great pads but I had trouble with them squealing. Kind of embarassing but they stopped well.
