Slipped the heck out of my twin plate exedy....

I was driving the other night, and took a friend out, and first off i have launched this thing no more then a dozen times since i got the clutch. Now its only been inthere for maybe 5k miles. and the other night I launched it not even that hard, and it slipped the heck out of it, It spun the tires and then when i shifted into second i noticed slipping really bad. Now the car wasnt cold the temp gauge was normal, but i hadnt been driving that long, now was the clutch not warmed up?

Did I just destroy my clutch? or was it not warmed up? does this clutch have to warm up before its prime?

I have heard you should but it scared me cuz its never done that before.

thanks for any info,

I think with the power level you're at , its pushing the limits of the clutch.

hmm, who did the install, that plays a roll as well, i had the same clutch in my '03 installed by AMS and it worked flawlessly....Launch after Launch after Launch. With the Mods you have listed there is know way that clutch should fail

my point exactly..... it should be fine, but its only done it once, and if it continues, well then i know for a fact it is shot, and the shop that installed it... i dont even want to go there.
