Might buy EVO-8 back from insurance (theft-recoverd)

So i am thinking about buying back my evo, that was stolen and then recoverd. My insurance company gave me the offer to buy it back is it worth getting it back? If I do get it back im thinking about parting out, and not going though the hassle of getting whats missing from it and getting it regesterd again.

So if I were to part it out, how much would i be able to get from it?

I know the seats/wheels are gone and some of the mods that i had done to the car, so is it worth buying back?

I left hondas/acuras due to theft, and now even with the evo i got jacked, so whats left?

anways, any input would be apreciated...

Keep in mind that if you buy back from your insurance company, your title will be register as salvage or rebuilt, that will hurt your resale value in the future. Ask your insurance to lower their offer, since they will have to sale it to a wholesaler that makes profit from insurance cars.

find out what parts you have, what they're selling for on the classifieds, then see if it adds up to significantly more than your quote. then if you will make money and get money for your time/trouble do it.

it's not always considered salvaged unless it's really missing "needed" parts.....my civic was stolen b4 and they found it on bricks and no seats but i took it back and they gave me 2 grand for my rims....its still clean record not salvaged

how much does it cost to buy back? If your engine, tranny, tcase, turbo etc.. is intact you can get a few grand for that. Also the brake system calipers, rotors etc.. are worth money.

well i am going to get the car for sure now...

the insuance company saw that i was seriously interested in the car. so they already asked me for an amount. I said that it was too much and if they could do any better...

as for the tittle of the car being salvaged, it really doesnt matter because im parting out the car, not trying to resell it...
