to get it out of the drum we hooked up my old fuel pump to it..the stocker.
and a current supply, some hoses, and that's it.
it doesnt pump all that fast but at least u wont make a mess!

i have hand pumps for those drums. my dad used to own an oil business. i could sell you one for like 20$ or something cheap

 

Go back and ask them if you can get some nitric acid. Nitric acid plus toluene = TNT (trinitrotoluene)

You should be able to source a hand pump for those barrels. That's how I've seen it done before.
