Im sensing some jealousy
seriousely man, your comments are getting more ignorant every time.

Remember that guy that got banned from EvoM like 50 times (so much so that I can't remember his real name). He treated his car like utter crap. It's not a matter of age, it's a matter of maturity and you didn't even give this guy a chance.
P.S. I will call anyone DADDY who buys me an EVO IX MR!
Hm. I bought my very first car when I was 27 years old. It was a crappy Dodge Colt. The first time it snowed, I took it to a huge empty parking lot and just got all sorts of crazy with it. I slammed on the brakes, spun the steering wheel, floored the accelerator, etc. Many people called me stupid, but I had a reason for what I was doing... I was learning how my car handled in the snow. This experience was totally invaluable and I can name at three times where serious accidents were avoided due to the experience I gave myself that snowy morning in the empty parking lot.
While it seems that you did this for fun, the end result is the same: You are now far more knowledgable about how your Evo behaves in the snow and you are far less likely to kill yourself or others through ignorance of how your car handles in low traction conditions.
(as an aside to warrtalon: what is the problem with having fun in a safe environment?)

Practicing with your car is probably the smartest thing you can do. Excuse us for being rude about you having an Evolution but you are never going to escape that. Learning how your vehicle handles in the snow is going to save your *** some day when you get in a pinch. Keep it safe.

. Back on the subject, I WISH it could snow in my area because it looks so fun!

if you think about it, daddy did get him the car, because no bank will lend a 16/yo 35gs with no credit or steady job.
Why do all of these posts turn into a political debate? If the kid wants to beat on his car who cares. Get over yourself Warrtalon. You sound like a unhappy old man lately. Everytime I come on the forums I have to see you give your opinions on everything. You have become ultimate know it all. You bring a lot of good information to the forum, but you are constantly putting people down.

you know, i love sliding through snow filled parking lots.
not only is it alot of fun, but it also gives you a good idea of how your car is liable to slide if you are ever on the road. as long as you don't overdo, it can be a good time, and a very valuable learning tool.
i don't know why you guys are so militant about it. let him have fun with his car. after all, it is his.
and before i get a bunch of "Oh you're just another 16 year old blah blah blah". save it. i am 23, run my own buisness, and bought my own evo

MuslimEvoFreak-There is nothing wrong with going into an empty parking lot and learning the limitations of your car. Don't let some internet junkies try to ruin some harmless fun. That being said, be careful and make sure your honest with yourself and your Dad if you brake something. My dad took me to the track when I was 16 so I could learn my car's fullest potential and also respect how dangerous it can be. Its a learning curve and everyone goes through it. Even the people who say they've never done that before have done something like it one time or another. If more people spent more time in empty parking lots and back country roads learning their cars capabilities the roads would probably be much safer. Go have fun
