EVO vs AUDI RS4
Modifying a car to be fast and reliable is extremely difficult. Car companies spend sometimes 1 or two years (even 3 in some cases) and millions of dollars in R&D to make a good vehicle. Changing the original engineering WILL cause problems no matter what car it is. I bet if you start modifying that rs4 you will get boat loads of problems. It also comes down to who is actually working on your car and if they really know what they are doing. Finally if you beat on a car it with break parts, more so if it has alot more power.
When you have 600whp you are gonna have trouble.. That should of been expected. And iam curious you say your clutch went out all the time? Uhh what did you have the stock clutch and kept replacing it with the stock clutch? Cause i dont see a twin or triple plate clutch going out that much.
I dont understand this post. You have a 276 bhp evo that came with a 2.0l turbo16g.
You now have a 600bhp 2.3l with a GT 35R turbo.
You want a clutch that wont go out and parts that wont break.
I've always felt that the saying "you gotta pay if you wanna play" holds true when modifying cars.
So, if you want the RS4 because it is a refined vehicle with nice power, get it. It seems like a very sweet car!
Don't buy this car because you have created a "race car" out of your street Evo and you think it doesn't match up.
Good Luck!

yeh definitly. an audi is a VW in that kinda way. my friend has an 02 TT and i like the car, but it is nothing near reliable. he has owned the car for a month, but it has been at the machanic for half of that time. on cold days it wont start, the cluster doesnt work and overall i think its a piece of crap.
i definitly like the way it looks and i like the way a lot of audi's look but i just dont trust them reliability wise.
APR tuning, Neuspeed, AudiTechnik.com, there are more i just cant think of them right now. just go to vwvortex.com. u will find everything u need their!

And you think repairs on your EVO were a headache??
Hope you buy new, because Audi's are money pits outside of warranty.
Friend owned 3 TT's, on the two newest ones if he didn't make sure the gas cap was on tight after a fill-up, the car would throw a CEL and he had to buy 02 sensors three times. $180 bucks each.
He now drives an M3.
My mother in law has an older cabrio that is on it's third tranny (two under warranty) her second top, and third or fourth a/c condenser and second or third p/s pump.
AWESOME.
Love the concept, power and style and luxury, but they've got a ways to go before I drop 35k.....and that's not even for the S....
