Lancer Trunk on EVO

If I want to go Wingless can I buy a Lancer trunk or do I have to get an RS trunk? Don't really want to plug up the holes (looks cheap).

How much is a carbon fiber trunk (ballpark)?

Lancer trunk will work as long as it's pre-04 (I think). I think it was '04 when they changed the design of the Lancer's rear end (license plate moved to the trunk instead of on the bumper) but you'll have to verify that. Also, the shocks on the trunk will be way too powerful and you will find your trunk opens way too quickly when you remove the wing; so look at getting different shocks too or removing the stock ones.

Evos don't have shocks in the back. Wish they did, would have much more trunk space.

I dunno what they're called. Whatever it is that enables the trunk to open by itself and keeps it open. They're much stronger on the Evo than on the regular Lancer due to the weight of the wing (well, the wing's not really heavy but the positioning on the trunk means it's harder to open).

They are twisted metal bars about as thick as coat hangers and yes, they will be "too" strong without the wing. Just buy the Lancer version when you get the trunk.
