does anyone know about fizz autosports in queens, NY? Yesterday I called up to see if they had the greddy type-s bov in stock its like impossible to find it but since its discontinued but I gave it a shot and called up fizz autosports and claws autosports...anyhow he tried selling me the hks bov over the phone and I told him Ive heard alot of problems with that bov...stalling the car etc etc etc....he was like " oh no, thats never happened before, ive never had any customers complain ".....come on man everyone knows about the hks ssqv is not really fit for the evo VIII....at least that what i read on the forums....i also told him that I would have to purchase the HKS EIDS " electronic idling stabilizer " with the hks bov....he was like " uhhh, no...." unbelievable

 

Fizz auto is a great shop IMO. Nice people. I have the HKS ver. 2 blow off valve with no problems at all. The version 2 comes with an upper intercooler pipe that replaces the rubber part right before the intake manifold. I have heard that people with the first version have had problems with stalling, but I havent heard anything about that on the version 2.

 

they are more a JDM shop but as far as mechanics they dont really know much. Yeah they might know some engine parts and tell you what fits on what but as far as troubleshooting an issue related to one of the sold products, you better off talking to your mechanic friend. I like em, they cut the middle man. Seems like they have everything in stock but for what they charge its like you are paying the shipping costs..
