Not enough to justify the price.

Depends. I have heard the stock intercooler will hold heat, until you surpass around 325-350whp. After that, you start to get some heat issues.

So, if you have the supporting mods to achieve this number, then, yes, it will help.

And a word to the wise, there is no justification for what we do to our cars. We take a great car, and basically replace parts that aren't broke......

Not necessarily, with Alky and a good tune a few here have gotten 350+ with the stock turbo, so you 'could' need it before.

Keep the money until you upgrade the turbo.

You won't gain power, but you def. won't lose it. During the summer down here in Al, my stock IC is heatsoaked to crap and back when I hit 4th gear doing a 1st through 4th pull.

I plan on upgrading my IC when I A: sell this one and have the extra cash to put a better one on or B: upgrade the turbo

you can benefit from a well built/designed intercooler...the gains can be from 10-15 hp...

I'm not sure if this is really needed yet. I've done 310 whp (Mustang dyno) without changing the IC or piping. Alot of the local Evos that have intercoolers and piping are still well below that figure. For me, my custom ported head turned out to deliver more performance for not much more than the cost of an IC plus piping.

Stock turbo = Stock FMIC.

Upgraded turbo = Upgraded FMIC.
