Whats up everyone....

To most Cali Lancer/EVO owners they know me, but for those that don't my name is Richard Harris. I operate an online automotive lifestyle magazine called Omega-13.com out of Northern Cali, and I sponsor most local and state Lancer events and gatherings...

The reason I'm posting is because I was approached by Mitsubishi while my staff and I were at an import event in LA.
They asked me to help them organize together a massive group of Mitsubishi Enthusiast and tuners to use for there new EVO 8 commercial.

The shoot is slated for March 30th, but may include the 29th as well... Of course seeing as Mitsu is based out of the LA area, the shoot is also going to be in the LA area, but if your inclined to travel for the commercial please join us.

I not able to give out to many details of the shoot (Due to obvious competition reasons), but we will be shooting at various locations in LA. The theme of the commercial is the street tuner lifestyle...(You fill in the blanks )

The cars Mitsu needs is at least 4 or 5 EVO 8's. They prefer somewhat modified, but they understand that since the car JUST came out it's very unlikely, but if you guys can, try to do something...even (Gasps!) graphics are O.K.

They need as many Lancers as possible... Pimped out, bodykits, custom turbo's, audio systems, graphics, whatever you got! but regular Lancer guys YOU HAVE TO REPRESENT.

If you can make it, please post here and send me a PM with your full name, phone number, E-mail address, Car, Mods, and availability.... Everyone please understand that this will be an all day and all night shoot, so empty your whole day for this event.

As far as pay...yes PAY. We are working on a re-imbursement plan for the shoot, but as of right now It's confirmed we will have a huge catered BBQ.

Yeah...you can as many friends as you want, although they only want Mitsu cars for the shoot...(Of Course). Were expecting in the neiborhood of over 100 Mitsu vehicles.

Just make sure you P.M. me your info, so I can have a list to give to Mitsu.

you said regular lancer are welcome as well? if so im game, im in the los angeles area and am willing to shoot my day for mitsu

That's right... they want a buttload of regular Lancers...

the total consistancy of the commercial will be a mixture of

New EVO 8's
Lancers
Eclipses, all Generations (2'nd and 3'rd Gen prefered)
And of course GTO's (3000GT's)

 

I remember, this was supposed to take place at CAL SLAM Stage I but the funding was pulled at the last minute....

 

Eclipses huh?? I'm in....i wont have my evo in by then but I'll have my eclipse! Let us know!!

 

So since this will be a chance for Mitsu to make more money (the advert), will they be handing out checks to all the new Evo owners to cover the $$ they overpaid to get an Evo in time for the commercial? Sounds like a great idea to me!

lol... Almost positive any EVO 8 owners that participate in the commercial will get paid if there car is featured in the commercial.

 

This sounds great. I'll try to find a ride down there just to witness it. Great chance to see lots of nice cars.

 

i am SO down to do this....i live like 30-40 min away from LA, i just have to know all the hard info, so ill pm u and you can PM me back w/ whatever you've got (what date / time, what do i have to bring, etc etc ... ) !!

Obvious competition reasons? Not so obvious to me since Evos, Lancers, etc. are already on the street and Mitsubishi's competition can just buy one if they want. Is someone competing with you to shoot their own The Fast and the Furious type commercial?
