Autodimming rearview mirror

Has anyone changed their rearview mirror to an auto dimming/temp display kind?

If so what brand was it, where did you get it and did you run into any issues installing it?

Yeah I know - it doen't make the car go any faster!

If you google it, you may find some vendors that sells those mirrors. I wanted to get one and install it but the installation process seems complicated. Since I am not good at wiring at all, i just gave up

i don't like the autodimming mirrors... have you been in a car that had them and liked it?

the rental i had with autodimming mirrors it would basically let the bright lights shine in your eyes for a second and then turn everything to green. so instead of being blinded by regular light you were now blinded by green light.

i'll keep the manual mirrors.

its made by exon science inc... they were suppose to be some "new" technology involved in this one...it doesn't shine green...instead...its blue and has many nice functions to it

http://myweb.hinet.net/home5/exon/pr.../b1/index.html

they have an kit to fit mitsubishi lancer and i assume lancer and evo have the same rear mirror... i have consider doing this project...so stay tuned

Thanks for all the info guys! This is going to be the next project that I try with the Evo. Seems pretty simple and straight forward. I have this type of mirror on my BMW, it's great and helpful in traffic. I also miss the temp. display, I like to know when it's around 32 - helpful when you are going through mountains in the fall and spring!

I put one of these in mine. The 5 pane fits and allows you to see everything behind you and in the usual 'blind spots'.
