Increased Rev Limit Flash?

I am going to get cams, and I am wondering how I have the stock computer rev limiter raised. I don't need any tuning because I have ecu+, but I would like the rev limit increased to 8000, and the speed limiter removed. I remember reading that someone does this for $100, but I couldn't find out who. Thanks

I would not recommend to rev past 7600 without upgraded valve springs and retainers. I do have a set of Supertech on special if you are looking for an upgrade.

Thanks,
Tom

you will have to get a reflash...Some people rev that high on stock motors, I wouldnt recommend it though unless you have valvetrain...

I think Al will flash the car for fuel cut, boost cut, and rev limiter for like 65 bucks. He posted this in one of the ECU+ forums for ECU+ customers.

Whoa, don't recommend going beyond 7600 without upgraded springs and retainers? What is up with saying that then immediately trying to sell him some unnecessary parts? We can go to 7800 and even 8000 all day long without upgrading those parts.

Dsevo, Dynoflash has an Ecu+ flash. Talk to Al or even Ivan_C, who is one of the well-known and fast ECU+ owners who tunes himself. I'm sure you've seen him in the ECU+ forum. He just got an ECU+ this weekend when Al was in town.

springs and retainers come with revolver cams, which is the setup I am leaning towards, so I should be OK to rev to 8k. Thanks everyone for the info, I will send my ecu to Al. or Works. Thanks again.

Revolver is a brand, just like HKS or Jun.

Yes you can pass 7600 on stock springs and retainers 8000 is just fine i know about 15 people that do it with stock cams and upgraded cams and to this day they dont have any problems. But i do agree with you if you really want the max power out of your cams you must upgrade you springs and retainers.
