are you boosting over 26psi on alky? need help

I posted this on another thread and got zero replies...maybe it was in the wrong section so ill try over here.

Someone told me to wire tie all my hoses if im boosting above 26psi because if one of the fuel lines pops off its over for my engine. Can someone tell me exactly where and how many hoses I need to wire tie? Pictures would be great.

Thanks

If you need to wire all of them, you don't need a picture. Just wire everything you see

i've never heard of doing this. How does one "wire tie"? Would that be using wire to act as a clamp, or....

either use thin wire, wrap around the hose and spin the ends together, or buy some good wire ties and put them on the hoses... if your still clueless go to a store and ask for wireties..

wiretie all vacuum lines that boost going through them..

I think your "wire tie" through me off. We use the term "safety wire" up here. And if go to the store and ask for "wire ties", won't they hand me a bag of "zip ties" or is that something totaly different? But besides all that, putting wire around high pressure hose doesn't seem wise to me? Wouldn't that cause it to dig into the hose and cut it all up? Why not just buy some quality clamps? unless i'm completely out of the ball park with how i'm thinking this is done... I'm sure i'm just an idiot...

Just goto home depot and get some zipties, you'll be fine.

zip ties are the same as wire ties... sorry for the confusion

I think were suppose to zip tie all the fuel hoses or lines so that it doesnt pop off when boosting high. It happened to someone who was boosting 28-30psi and one of the hoses from the fuel line came off...I believe its by the intake manifold area... He recommended me to wire tie all my hoses because he blew and engine before and wanted to warm me. Thats why I want to know exactly which hoses...dont want to zip tie every dam hose I see in the engine: )

/\ thats weird, I have never heard of doing that. I have heard of putting zip ties along with a little dab of super glue on the hose to make sure it wont come off. The fuel line zip ties are new to me...

I know about the boost lines from the alky controller but it seems to me there are more than just that hose you need to tie up.

I think what needs to be zipped tied is the vacuum/boost line going to the fuel pressure regulator.

Don't worry if one blows off, you'll here it and let off the gas! happaned to me boosting 25 psi in my '03, 1 vaccum line sounded like a 20 gauge shotgun going off!
