Hey, guys im in the process of trading in my 04 Evo VIII for an 06 Evo IX. While I love my Evo VIII to IX is pretty much a whole completly different beast powerwise. The thing is I love the fact that the 04 VIIIs came with the HIDs while the IXs dont. I was wondering if you can just swap the headlights out or would there be more to it?

 

Lights fit but harness will differ from HID to non HID. The HID lamps have a nice connect system to power the HID bulbs / ballast and adjustment motor in one plug. It is doable, search because I remember reading about it recently.

 

I read about it as well. Someone here traded in there 03 for an 05 with no HIDs. Then swapped the headlights. I just couldnt find it.
