Just noticed on my EVO, there's a sticker/vinyl/film right in front the rear wheels. It starts right over the wheel well area and covers the paint ending right at the rear door. Anyone else have this? Did the dealership forget to take it off? Is it suppose to be left on?

Paint chip protection, there was a TSB released for it a while back, i guess they kept installing it on newer evos too

 

So it's suppose to be left on? Mines starting to peel at the top. Could I purchase another strip at the dealership?

 

OK, so I just got back from two Mitsubishi dealerships, and neither know anything about it. Never seen it before.
I tried to order another strip, and they said I stuck it on.
And of course there wasn't another EVO there to look at. If there's a TSB, then I should get another one that isn't peeling off. Any advice?

 

Haven't noticed it, but ill go check mine out in a bit, i've washed and waxed it twice already and never noticed it.

Noticed you had an s2k. I know they're completely different from the EVO, but what made you decide to change?
My friend has a sc s2k, and he's considering an EVO, but doesn't know if it's worth it as his s2k "flies now".

 

just checked mine, it has it also.

My wife's Toyota Matrix has that on her car as well. Came that way from the dealer.

 

so its the 3M clear bra... the mistu by my house has been ( in indy ) slapping them on all the newer cars they get...
