Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde....
I have 300 miles on my EVO and want to start provding impressions of the car while not repeating other reviews. One aspect of this car is the very docile feel while driving "normally". When driving around town to get Depends or Viagara the car handles superbly. Don't under estimate that accomplishment by Mitsy. Sometimes high performance cars handle rough, hesitate and lag during slow acceleration and low rpm shifts. Not so with this car. The car is wonderfully balanced, smooth and a pleasure.
However
, as soon as you come upon a yellow road sign with the squiggly arrow thingy and the sign says "slow 15 mph curve" ..... say hello to Mr. Hyde ... .he gets very angry fast! Downshift the trans and hit the curve at 40 mph and ya hoo!!!!!
Hugs the road on rails. The acceleration and G force against the Recaro's are incredible and I am not even pushing the car hard ..... this is the cars "job description".
I cannot stay out of the thing and the Recaro's are PERFECT.

Hi,
The clutch pressure feels light to me as compared to the after market clutch in my Talon and releases high on the EVO. The car is quick, but that is a minor attribute compared to the handling.

Hi,
I am still observing the break-in period and have not pushed it beyond 5,000 rpm. The Talon is basically a Buschur Stage 2 without an FMIC and honed intake plus a small 16G. The turbo does not come on as strong as the Talon, but I am convinced that an intake and exhaust (including downpipe, O2 housing, hi-flow cat) will easily put the car in the 12's.
Combine that with the suspension and we have the best $60,000 car available.
Should have 500 miles on her in a couple of days and will provide detailed comparisions on performance.
Edit: Road Noise - It is not excessive for my taste at all. The ride is just right.
