Congrats! The car looks great I haven't really heard of too many IX RS being sold. I think they are definitely more rare this time around.

I don't think there's any better bang for the buck than an Evo RS. Sounds like the IX has reaffirmed that while, at the same time, improving upon it. Very exciting review. Although I have to say doing 4k RPM's at 80mph seems high. Especially on the RS because there's no sound deadening. You hear it all - especially at high RPM. I don't know about FL, but everybody in CA does 80mph+ on the freeway too. Is the difference is gearing enough to make somebody change how they drive on the freeway?
I paid closer attention today and it's not that bad at all, actually @ 3700 at 80, about 4100 at 90, and about 4500 at 100. Humming along at 70 is damn quiet...

So that's only about a 200rpm difference between the IX RS and the VIII RS. Not too bad. Enjoy that car man!

Glad you came back and got a IX; I'm jealous.

No, I'm not, but I tried to. I really would love to see what I could accomplish with a IX. They are way more powerful than the VIIIs.

yeah i guess... you've been showing very well what can be done with the 8 MR, so keep doing it!

btw, I would like to think that once the IX owners start swapping out their turbo's we are gunna see about equal results compared to 8's with similar swapped turbo's. That only makes sense right? I mean stock for stock I thought the IX was stronger because it has MIVEC and a bigger turbo (but mostly because of the bigger turbo).

Yes, you're right, and when it happens, I'll be waiting around for that used IX turbo. Since a lot of people here are anxiously waiting to get a used IX turbo, I'm going to focus my attention on all the local speed shops, because I _KNOW_ some sucker with more money than "cents" will upgrade the turbo without having a clue how powerful it is. Using that same ignorance to my advantage, I'll hopefully get it for very little just like I got my spare 10.5/mani/o2 - a guy upgraded his turbo and just left the parts at the shop instead of selling them.

That car is sexy as hell. I never picture myself in a white car but damn if they dont look great in pictures.

I never noticed the black handles and black diamonds before. Clean!
