well .. i purschased two Intakes and this is what the car felt after both is equiped ...
i had my K&N typhoon intake as my First mod .. and havnt felt any gain by it really ...
just the cool BOV sound ...
durin take off "normal Drive" .. i hear somethin in the bonet that is shakin ... but i didnt minded it ...
since i am in a Hot Country ... when i speeded with my Evo on the hot weather .. the Evo ran like crap ..........
but now that is winter ... the evo ran much better .. but top end felt Really Slow ...

so as i progressed on moddin i purschased the Ultimate Racing TBE .. the Car was running Strong as i first speeded ....
but the second time i speeded .. i felt the car is losin power ... and somethin is wrong .. so i figured it's the intake cuz of the Reviews i've seen in this site ..
so i have Decided to change the Intake with the Injen intake with upper IC pipe ...
so went to a garage to swap the intake ... and the person who changed my intake said "do u know u are losing HP with this K&N intake" ...
so after the installation of the Injen Intake with the Upper IC pipe ohh boy ..... i never knew the Evo could be this fast by only changin the K&N Typhoon ...
the Gas Pedal got a lil bit heavy after swappin the intakes .. as it responses very well ... and also the thing i have noticed that changed is the BOV sound "JDM MR BOV" which is stock on my car ..

Get a flash and any intake is gonna show gains...that was your first problem man.

 

i never liked the k&n....the injen looks NICE lol and yeah id do a flash next then ull be really happy!

 

Now swap cams and enjoy the top end pull!

 

ya, you definatley need a flash to get the most out of your intake. my car terrible with the intake on and no flash

 

Even with a flash the K@N is gonna be screwed up. I've tried the Typhoon every way possible and it never worked right.

 

Yeah, u def need a re-flash w/ an intake on an EVO.

 

I just put the injen on my car and am in the process of doing cams so i have yet to feel the power. But i sure can't wait!

 

the K&N is KNOWN to be the worst unit and actually causes a power lose as it messes with the MAF signals so much.

I have the Injen intake also and I love it. I don't know how much gain by just the intake alone cause I installed the intake, LICP, alky kit and Dynoflash all at once.

 

i have heard that the typhoon is junk , thanks for the confirmation
