i already ordered my new MOMO airleather shift knob - momo knobs go on with a allen wrench ( three screws set the knob into place) the stock knob just unscrews - really cheap mine has already started to twist off under normal driving

- for putting on a ****ty shift knob on this car. i loved my s2k shift knob ( it was small round and titanium - a perfect knob for a race car)

My other question that i forgot to put in this post is about the e-brake handle any idea on weather or not the momo one would fit on the EVO cus i like the momo stuff plus it would match the wheel that way

yeah that's the reason i bought the momo shift knob - don't know about the e-brake handle i've never replaced one of those - i would imagine it would come with some kind of adapter... or there might be one you would have to buy to make it fit - i would speak with a MOMO authorized dealer

i would prefer a slightly shorter shift - but it is reasonably short... it is an almost certainty that there will be a short shifter kit soon

Measure the thread and shaft size.. Odds are its a standard metric thread... Odds are its even the same thread size as the lancer.. In any case, once you know the thread size and shaft size.. you can easily find a shift knob for it.. Since its probably something widely available. At that point its just a matter of personal preference. And the Ebrake assembly is the same as the standard lancer, except the hand grip is covered with leather.

Yeah, I had a stock shift knob that had the allen screw design. It was horrible. I want something that screws on like stock or possibly the MMC replacement metal one (but I'm not paying those prices).
