no the Ultimate Racing is not metal

Yes it is 50 state legal..and the CARB number is stamped on the cat itself

forget about the psi ratings...unless they are all tested on the same machine, it's about as useful as quoting horsepower from one dyno to another

Hey guys,

I have done a good comparsion on a metal cat vs ceramic. Ceramic will not flow as good as metal and its also more prone to failure over time.

Metal vs Ceramic cats

Thanks,
Tom

i can "pass" emissions with just a test pipe myself... but, i respect the environment and care about the air that i have to breathe, therefore, i have a hi-flo cat. low emissions plus plenty of power. good trade-off.

oh, and you can get a ticket for not having a cat regardless of your state emissions laws. a cat is required by federal law... and the ticket is not cheap. no that something being illegal is a good reason not to do it.

UR HFC is good. Recently I switched to the test pipe. and the gain was very minimal. UR HFC do have the high flow. I recommand UR. cheap and serve the purpose. It does rust bit outside on flanges only, but that gives you more stealthy look.
