Help me diagnose a problem

It's really wierd, but when driving at low speeds (even sometimes during turning) i hear a groaning/creaking noise from the front left. It seems there's stress somewhere that's causing it.

The reason why it's wierd is that it doesn't come all the time so it's hard to even get someone to diagnose it. When it last came about a month and a half ago i thought it may have been the front left coilover. Pressed down hard on the car to see if the suspension creaked on rebound but nothing. Jacked up the car and tried to pull on the wheel and everything seemed tight. As the car was on the stock jack i really couldn't get under the car so gave everything a visual and again, everything seemed in it's place...all bolts there, nothing seemed lose.

I took the car to a shop and had them put it on the lift and we pushed and pulled everything and everything seemed tight.

Then today while driving back from work, the same damn noise. Wasn't pushing the car hard or braking hard or anything. just normal crusing after getting off the high way. Did the same thing as the first time...jacked up the car and gave it a visual and everything seemed ok. Drove the car and no noise. Seems like jacking up the front left seems to fix the problem. Nothing seems to be rubbing or whatsoever.

It can be so many different things:
a) shock assembly/piston or coils - doesn't seem to be the case as the noise should always be there and the tests above don't show any signs of suspension noise
b) lose exhaust - nope
c) control arm or something around there lose - doesn't look like it
d) Brakes ?? - The noise doesn't come when braking, but could it be that the pads are causing it...don't know. the pads are worn but still plenty of life left. they're project mu Titan ki on stoptech rotors and stock calipers.

really confused. any ideas as to what it could be...i'm totally stumped

I got the same problem too. But i have the stock shocks on though. I only hear it when i'm driving slow whether i'm going into a corner or not. I still don't know what that sound is. I think it started when i installed my new tires and had it balanced and the car re-aligned.
