What plugs to use colder on ix
couldnt really make sense of that, but a colder than stock plug that is my fav is HKS S40G

Joe, if the stockers are 7s like you showed in the code, then get heat range 8. That's pretty standard/simple. Were you asking something else? I assume you can toss in some NGK BPR8ES, BR8ES, or BPR8EIX (iridium).

well i tried to cross reference the codes to get a heat range 8 and no such luck tried 3 places autozone O'Riellys and also the mitsu dealer but all said they cant even get the stock plugs there WAY different than the bpr8es
According to the IX Tech Manual, the IX plugs are a long reach design for lower combustion chamber temps. I think Ralliart makes a #9 racing platinum/iridium for the IX. At least they list it.

interesting... i didnt know the stock ix plugs were any diff than the viii plugs... Someone will have to shed some light on this (i might not be able to pick up some S40G's after all...)
