Sean Ivey
I must say one thing. Not to start any debate, or any conflict. (I have been reading posts on this forum for months but kept myself out of things).
It is pretty impressive for this guy to drive to nyc (from God knows where in NJ) in 35deg weather, line it up with a modded 911GT2 and HAND HIM HIS A$$ with no change!! Then 'road race' around with some of my other buddies (if you can call it that), and pull the car into a gas station to help diagnose someone else's car while his car sits and idles like my GS400.
All of the mods with all of the driveability. I always thought that cams, standalone, and mods added up to out of the ordinary start-ups and lopey idle. Now I see for the first time that AEM (and other systems for that matter) is only as powerfull as the man pushing the buttons on the keyboard-- and Ivey is SUPERMAN!.
Very impressive.

"i cant say the same for that Evo with 2.3 600whp+ that keeps breaking every day"
LMAO!!!
Like i said, not looking to cause a raucus. But I have seen that car break more times than run. That is what I thought the world of standalone, and 500+hp cars was all about. (I heard 'rottentop' say the car was going 'back to the butcher' in the morning....lol
I guess he should "Do his research" before he spends the next wad of cash.

"Shawn is awsome at tuning the AEM and works wonders with it"
It would take any of us quite a while to get to Ivey's level of knowledge. He's been active with the mitsu platform for like 9 years or something. His first dsm was a 90 that went 12.68 on the stock turbo, stock cams, stock side mount no nos. That number is not impressive but doing it with a car that weighed in at 3486 with a/c still working is.
Sean was with me when i first met Dave Buschur at an atco event. I think that was the first event the RWD yellow car came out. His knowledge of tuning i think comes from longevity like Dave, honestly these guys sleep, eat and drink Mitsu. and understand what keeps these motors alive and well.

Hey now,,, not starting any hot water here. The guy had some gearbox issue that Sean caught the remedy for in under 3 mins.
See what makes him good is that he has built cars, tuned them, AND raced them. So he can tune from the standpoint of the mechanic/engine builder and driver as well. Sometimes, a guy can turn a wrench well but not understand knock values. Some guys are super pc geeks that can do quantative analysis for days but never installed a cam or dialed in timing!!
My point, from reading some of the other threads, was that it is hard to find a good combination of both because that is what the definition of a good "TUNER" is.
So now i have been online with a guy with a pretty quick audi S4. He's been calling out nyc's fastest. Check his vids in his sig.

How many of you guys are in the nyc area??? Hit up on this thread so i can save your contact info for the next time there is action. Usually there are at least 8-10 evo's that show up from the 'Next Level' camp.

Oh and Sean is the man, tunes very good!
A 430whp S4 is damn nice but it's not quite to the point where you should be calling guys out, especially not in a tuning hotbed like NY...
