Bent my wheel hitting a curb

I bent my wheel last night when I slid on the snow(I have all season tires) and hit a curb. My steering wheel was turn all the way to the right when I hit the curb and that seemed to save my sideskirt from any damage. But my wheel is pretty bent do you guys think I can get this repaired or should I just get a new one? Any advice on where to buy a new wheel because no one seems to be selling just one stock wheel(besides Mits). Also when I turn right at high speeds there are vibrations so i'm just worried something might be wrong with my axles or something(checked caliper and it doesn't seem to be touching). I'm pretty sure my alignment is off because i'm going to the left when i let go of my steering wheel. I'm just a little concerned and maybe only the wheels bent. I slid into the curb at around 10mph.

They are very pricey at the dealer. I have nice used singles if you want to go that way. The vibrations you are feeling most likely are just the bend in the wheel.

Talking

you didnt keep your foot on the brake when you hit the curb did you? It's alot worse when you keep your foot on the brake hence not alowing the car to go up on the curb and putting all of the pressure on that one wheel.

I've owned 4 240sx's and mt first one never saw a curb it didnt hit. (drifting)

That sucks man. I would look for some used rims on the private sale section also but if you can't find any there are good threads here for cheap new rims. Not to long ago I saw a thread from subydude who was selling rotas for a good price you could check those. I also think you need to get your car checked out to see if you have any other damage other than the rims.

Make sure you check the car out I would guess you bent more than just the rim.

My friend with G35c did that and his wheel and his bearing went out.
He had to it aligned and fix the bearing and what not..
Make sure that's not the case for you too.

Thanks for the replies. I'm going to start off with fixing/replacing this wheel and see if I still have any problems. If not i'll call it a day(crossing my fingures).

I woudn't fix it, but replace it. When you stress the aluminum to that degree, and then bend it back, it will never be as strong as before. You'll (or should I say I would) always be wondering if the rim is going to break on you during that 90 mph sweeper.

Anyone have any experience running to curbs and what are you damages? I took a really good look at my rims today and they don't seem to bad. It starts to vibrate at arounde 55mph and up. Anything under that feels pretty normal with no noise. There seems to be a 6 inch rash where it's bent inward near the lip. What should I look for to see if anything is damaged?

Ok i replace my wheel today in hopes of that being the only thing wrong. Well the steering wheel doesn't shake anymore but I feel vibrations when I switch lanes at speeds above 40mph. Do you guys know what my damages could be? I hope nothing to bad or else i'm going to have insurance take care of this since it was technically an accident.

yes, bent lip on the rim, bent tie rod, slightly bent lower control arm on the driver front . (along with buncha stuff like intercooler, etc, but my car went up on a 6" curb with both front wheels) this was at only 10mph, so if u were going faster...get the thing to a body shop and let them put it on a frame machine to measure if things r off spec.

How much was your repairs? The only reason I hit that curb was because I was in third gear so I can't gas it enough to get out of that slid and hit the curb. Kinda sucks but hopefully only my left side is F'ed.

i'm guessing u were understeering? my total bill was 4700 of which i paid 500 deductible. but they had to replace and paint the whole front bumper/lip, intercooler, undertray, wheel/tire, lower ic pipe all kinds of lil ***** and giggles. if urs is in need of only wheel/tire, tie rod and control arm, i would guess ur bill would be ~2000 including labor. just decide if u wanna cash out or have ur ins company pay and increase ur rates. either way, it's expensive.
