My car's front end was damaged during a tow and they are replacing the Front Bumper. I'd like to substitue the IX's bumper if the connection points, etc., are laid out the same.

I'm not concerend about sprayer or minor points. I would think that it's pretty close if not exact. Major modifications to mount it would make me rule it out.

Anybody tried it yet or know of it being done?

No major mods required to fit it.

 

Bolts on easy,BUT the intercooler opening is smaller

does that mean it fits or doesn't fit on an VIII? does the IC openning need to be trimmed?

 

What I getting from that is, the bolt-on points (screws) and snaps, etc are the same , but that the actual square inch opening for the IC ends up being less that the VIII's opening.

The may be issues with any IC sprayer fittings, I've never had it that far apart so I don't know if the bumper has any moldings or other fittings for the 03-04 IC Sprayer.
