performance meters ??
hey guys i thought it would be kindof fun to purchase one of those performance meters. Does any one have any idea which one is the most accurate? I saw an article in a magazine a little bit ago testing all the diffrent ones but i cant remember which magazine did the article. Any help would be appreciated

From what I can see, they are very accurate. Funny you make this post, I was just at the site after I saw a commercial for one.

Go to the site and look at the comparasons. The video shows a 1/4 mile r***. The time from the meter itself is comnpared to the time slip from the track...just as close as you can get to being dead on!
My friend had 1 first. He had to run his car at the track with it to figure out the correct "pitch" to enter for that vehical. After adjusting this it is almost dead on. I got 1 for x-mas from my girlfriend, but I have not got a chance to test it as my car is down for repairs. The hp/tq figures are alittle off because it cannot figure in the wind resistance robbing hp. Though there is a formula and a web page to get the frontal area and wind resistance for different vehicals. When used with this data I'm sure it could be accurate with these tests also. One thing that will not lie is the "G's" your car pulls after you make adjustments compaired to before them. Thus giving a truth to if you made improvement or lost some. Also I did atleast set the G-tech up in my car and the RPM vs actual tach is right on the money. Amazing how accurate it is from reading the voltage on your altinator. Though you do have to set it up and run it with the radio and A/C off because of fluctuating voltage.
