Cluster led up with LEDs????

My cluster is getting darker and darker, I know that either the bulbs are burning or those condoms got all black and sticked into the bulb. I was wondering instead of changing the bulbs would it be possible to put LED in there??? Have anyone tought of that or better yet anyone done so???

Did you get the ebay white gauge replacement with the blue LEDs? It looks pretty nice. I was going to put it in my Evo, but changed my mind. If anyone is interested, I'd like to sell it... brand new, in the box.

The bulbs responsible for lighting up the cluster are already LEDs from the factory. I had to replace mine months ago. I just went with the mitsu ones.

I can't remember who's car I saw pictures of, but it was on here I think. Gauges were blue when they lit up, and they looked really bright, but very nice.

I'll have to find the pics

to each their own but those gauges look ghetto IMO... if you want to get different gauges the Ralliart gauges are hot...but pricey

i replaced mine last week with these LEDs from here http://www.superbrightleds.com/mini-wedge.html. the ones at the bottom of the page. i just had to dremel the hole to make it a little bigger for the base of the bulb to fit. works great and will probably last longer than the car. get the white LEDs because they put out the most light. the light from the colored LEDs will still come through as orange because the numbers on the guage are orange.

contact z_lancer_man here on evom. He puts together a complete kit, with instructions, including matching needles to match any color you want. I had him convert my lancer, my Vespa and my countermans galant. Tell him lancerdealer referred you. They look awesome!!

I deffinitely want to keep the stock look, don't like other setups. Maybe RalliArt, but this is way to expensive
