anybody receive their FQ400 wheels yet?

Hey fellas,

I'm wondering if anyone here purchased FQ400 wheels from Projectgen.com. They had a post sometime November. My question is, has anyone here who order these wheels like myself have actually been update on the eta time or even received them yet? I've called them serval times and all I've gotten from them is that they'll contact me when the wheels come in. It's the 12th of January now, but they said the wheels would come in sometime between Christmas and New Years. This worries me because I have a deposit on these wheels. Are you guy's getting the same treatment?

seriously cancle the order.. i got the same wheels through frisbie race tire (a vendor on this site) great guys and they shipped them in 3 days.. now the only problem is im stuck looking at them until the spring when they go on. mine might not be the gloss black of the fq400 but its the same exact wheel. you can always paint them gloss black if you really were set on it. good luck

I guess you did not have to wait for the original shipment of these wheels, we waited for a few weeks before they showed up (at Frisby). I think you just need to be patient.

I work for a wine importer and containers are a tricky thing. Some show up a week early, some show up when scheduled, most show up a few weeks late. In addition to relying on a slow boat you have ports getting swamped, customs pulling containers at random, and sometimes even the extreme of labor strikes. Often even before a container leaves it's one company holding things up, I can guarantee you that those wheels aren't the only thing on the container so if one manufacturer is being slow geting their goods to port it holds everything up. The container won't leave unless everything is there since it's not cost effective to ship containers that don't have much in them.

Exactly! I paid 800 (brand new from TDR UK) for mine shipped (got my advans switched from my stock rims to the TDR for an additional 50.00). They are silver though.

Modvp,

Thanks for your suggestion but I've placed a deposit on those dam wheels and they are telling me that I basically bought them. So did you ran into the same issue with different wheels and vendor?

I had set I was about to order..talked to Garry from thier company. They have been Delayed more than I can count so I got a set of regular TDR's and already painting them gloss blk as we speak.
Seemed weird when I called to hold a set and shipping is $175 anywhere alone on top of the wheel price. That blew me away...but I love em and was going to do it anyway and the TDR's are pretty hard to come by because the 1.2's are available now that don't have the same Spoke design.

They won't answer any emails or PM's here or on thier website...so you have to call Garry and his # is in his Profile.Theres like 3 sets left when I called about 2-3 weeks ago.

I gave up on the FQwheels and now I have a set of my own.

The vendor (FT@SELGP) I purchased my wheels from was pretty good. Took about 2 weeks for me to get the wheels from England. The final price was 795.00 shipped plus a little extra for install (switching advans from stock to TDR wheels). The install included an extra set of (4) caps and lugs.

just as a reference, if you gave the company a credit card or something as a deposit, you technically haven't purchased the items yet and the company can not hold you to a sale. Have they charged you for the deposit. Most reputable companies that I have dealt with will hold the charge for the deposit until the product arives then will charge the full amount and ship. If the company has not charged you anything yet you could call your card company and tell them to put a hold/stop payment for this charge in case this company wants to play this way. It all depends on what the terms of the sale were.

He said that when I tried to order them like 2-3weeks ago that they would be there on a monday (in Jan).
Granted its not his fault..but he has been pissed @ the Vendor that sold him all those wheels because of this

These wheels were supposed to have arrived back in December.
would pay for the FQ wheels but when I found out that its an extra $1756 just to ship them...I then backed out and started looking for regular TDR's.
